It’ll depend on the brand, thickness and environment its drying in, but it usually takes 3 to 6 hours to set and then up to 24 hours to fully dry.
How do you tape plaster joints?
All you need to do is apply the joint compound over the seam before pressing in the tape, smoothing it over with compound and letting it dry. For smooth results, sand it down and repeat the process if required.
