To change a downlight bulb, start by switching off the power and waiting for the bulb to cool down. Remove the bulb by either unhooking and gently pulling it down or rotating it counterclockwise if it’s a twist-lock version. Connect your new bulb and make sure it’s secure. Remember to re-attach the clip if required. Once finished, switch your light back on and enjoy.
The amount of downlights you opt for depends on the size of the room, the height of your ceiling and how much brightness you’d like. As a general rule, a 12m² room should have around 8 downlights.
